ShareWStyle began in 2021. It did not spend the next five years pretending to be under active development.
ShareWStyle began as an idea in 2021.
The problem was straightforward: organizations regularly need to deliver large packages of sensitive documents outside their own systems, yet many common workflows require physical media, permanent cloud storage, or significant trust in the service handling the files.
The idea behind ShareWStyle was to approach that problem differently: minimize how much the delivery platform itself needs to know or possess.
Why it stopped
The concept was not pursued in 2021 because the resources required to build it properly were not available. Rather than release a weakened version of the idea, development was deferred.
From 2021 through 2025, ShareWStyle remained dormant. There was no continuous development during that period.
Why it restarted
In 2026, the project was restarted from first principles. The focus shifted immediately to the difficult questions first: how to minimize trust, protect sensitive content before delivery, handle large document packages responsibly, and make security boundaries explicit.
Where it is now
ShareWStyle is currently in private engineering development and security validation. It is not yet offered as a production service.
The goal remains the same as the original 2021 idea: make sensitive document delivery simpler without requiring the delivery platform to become another place where sensitive plaintext documents must be trusted.
